40% of every bag supports humanitarian efforts and missions in Africa.

Roasted and shipped from California.

That sentence is the shop. Not a round-up at checkout. Not a once-a-year drive. Forty percent of the proceeds from every bag of coffee goes toward humanitarian efforts and missions in Africa.

If you have ever bought coffee that “gives back” and then wondered what that meant, this page is the honest version.

What 40% means

  1. You order coffee at holygroundscoffees.com.
  2. Our roasting partner roasts and ships the bag from California (typically USPS, about 5 to 10 business days).
  3. 40% of the proceeds from that coffee bag supports humanitarian efforts and missions in Africa.

Same pledge on a 12 oz bag and a 5 lb bag. Same pledge on flavored coffee and single origin. If it is a bag of coffee from Holy Grounds Coffees, the 40% applies.

We do not describe tea that way on this page. Apparel has its own 40% claim on our merch announcement; this page is about coffee bags.

What we can say — and what we will not invent

We can say:

  • 40% of every bag supports humanitarian efforts and missions in Africa.
  • Holy Grounds Coffees is the public brand. Coffee is roasted and shipped from California by our roasting partner.
  • You can drink African-grown coffee from this shop, including African Kahawa Blend.

We will not invent:

  • A partner organization name
  • A country program, village, clinic, or dollar-per-bag figure
  • A story that turns your checkout into a field report
  • A claim that buying Kahawa “funds those farms”

Hope is not a substitute for a receipt. The honest sentence is still strong.

Two true things (do not mash them)

True thing one: African Kahawa Blend is a medium-dark roast of African-grown coffees — toffee, caramel, chocolate, red fruit, a soft floral finish.

True thing two: 40% of proceeds from every coffee bag, Kahawa included, supports humanitarian efforts and missions in Africa.

Both true. Not the same sentence. Buying Kahawa does not mean the 40% is a check to the farmers behind that blend. The coffee is the cup. The pledge is the mission.

Shop. Ask.
